Danielle Jenkins, LCSW-S
My name is Danielle Jenkins, LCSW-S, and I am honored to support clients in their journey toward healing. Finding a therapist you connect with is not always easy, and my mission is to provide an environment that fosters comfort, authenticity, and growth. Through down-to-earth conversations, compassion, and the occasional witty joke, I strive to create a space where clients can take the mask off without fear of judgment.
I earned my Bachelor of Science from Howard University in 2015 and my Master of Social Work from the University of Houston in 2017. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations, which has deepened my understanding of culture, identity, and the many experiences that shape how we move through the world.
Over the years, I’ve seen how deeply childhood experiences and painful memories can impact present-day emotions, relationships, and coping patterns. I am certified in EMDR, an EMDRIA approved consultant, Level One trained in IFS, and intensively trained in DBT. These approaches allow me to help clients process difficult experiences, build emotional regulation skills, and move toward a greater sense of peace.
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults experiencing trauma, PTSD symptoms, anxiety, shame, sadness, anger, and the lasting impact of painful past experiences. I also have experience supporting clients navigating suicidal ideation, self-harm, substance use, and relationship concerns.
Outside of therapy, I am a total foodie and enjoy traveling to new places, hiking, listening to music, and spending time with my dog. If you think we might be a good fit, I invite you to schedule a free consultation and take the first step toward becoming grounded within.

"In a world that ask you to hold it all together, therapy offers space to set some of it down."

When I'm not in the therapy room, you'll usually find me with my poodle (who looks a lot like me!), swimming, or working on a sewing or embroidery project. I love creating things by hand and find so much joy in turning simple materials into something meaningful. For me, sewing and embroidery are more than hobbies. They're a way of pouring love, creativity, and intention into something from the very beginning. It's a reminder that beautiful things often take time, patience, and care, much like the therapeutic process.
